JOS worked with John Sisk & Sons to help deliver the FRC element of the M6J10 scheme. All works were carried out in a live traffic environment with access and working arrangements dictated by the traffic management arrangements.

We delivered the works safely and on time to a very high standard; engaging with Sisk and other members of their supply chain. Initially only contracted to construct the abutments, our reputation for delivery was demonstrated and resulted in further work scope within our contract. We completed all of the FRC works associated with the new highway structures including:
Co-ordination of pre-cast beam lifts
Supply and installation of paraslim system
Deck & parapet installation
Revetment walls
approach slabs
10 No. gantry bases
Environmental barrier foundations
Break out and replacement of existing culvert

We overcame the significant challenge to the structures with the diaphragms being particularly complex with multi level stepped and skewed sofits with crossfalls requiring bespoke shuttering around the area.

The health and safety performance of JOS was praised by the Sisk management team for being outstanding particularly considering the intensity and pressure associated with the programme.
Considering the intensity and pressure of the works programme and amount of operatives on site at any one time, the health and safety performance of JOS structures on M6 Junction 10 was outstanding from both management and workforce alike.
